On 27 May, a tea party was held at the Naval Military Club, attended by Dr Laurinda Alves, who spoke to us about her experience as a journalist, writer and university lecturer over the years, about supporting what is now referred to as ‘older age’, and about how important social interaction is at this stage of life.
She was introduced to the many members present by President Solange Estevens and her long-time friend Margarida Mealha.
