Tea at the CMN
On 28 February, another tea party was held at the Naval Military Club. It was a very interesting, enjoyable and entertaining session, with our member Clara evoking memories of her childhood and adolescence in her stories, pieces of a generation’s holidays that are no longer coming back. Visit to the Ajuda Palace
The Lyceum’s most recent activity, on 18 February, was a visit to the Ajuda Palace. Although already familiar to the whole group, it presents a collection that is a pleasure to revisit. We enjoyed paintings by Canaletto, Francesco Guardi, Giambabattista Tiepolo, Michele Mariechi and others. Canaletto demonstrated a splendidContinue reading “Venice in celebration”

Visit to Joana Vasconcelos’ studio
On 5 December, the Club visited Joana Vasconcelos’ studio. It was a stunning visit. Not that the artist didn’t surprise, question and marvel at us. However, being there on the same roof where she works, following the making of her works, is a sensation in which you can almost feel a little of that creativeContinue reading “Visit to Joana Vasconcelos’ studio”
