On 11 March, a tea party to celebrate International Women’s Day was held at the Avenida Palace Hotel.

We were joined by Professor Clotilde Celorico Palma, who holds a PhD in Legal and Economic Sciences, specialising in Tax Law, and is the author of over a hundred publications on tax matters. She spoke to us about her brilliant academic career, which has not been without its share of challenges due to her status as a woman.

She has held senior positions in government bodies, including at European Union level, and in the fields of citizenship and civic education in the Portuguese-speaking world, where the situation facing women and their careers is even more challenging.

With many members in attendance, it was an enjoyable afternoon spent together.
